A colloquium is a scholarly gathering; a meeting at which specialists in a field address various aspects of a single issue and then provide a forum for questions to be answered. This year our Colloquium is focused on “Handling Worst Case Scenarios.”

At the NGA Colloquium you will devote an en re day investigating an issue that can be crucial to your practice ... with a group of the nation’s most noted experts at hand as a resource .... plus you will share the experience with peers from across the nation to illuminate the subject in new and exciting ways.

Speakers are hand-selected for their high level of proficiency and breadth of knowledge on the Colloquium focus. Each presenter brings skills based on experience and is recognized for expertise in the specific area being addressed.

The Colloquium Education Sessions - Friday, April 23
The one-day agenda for the training, en rely on April 23, combined with an airport location mean that many people may not need a hotel room, or will require only a one-night stay.

Welcome Reception - Thursday, April 22
For those arriving Thursday, NGA’s Premier Experts will host a Welcome Reception from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Expect light refreshments and use this early networking opportunity to find dinner companions.

Certification Exam, Saturday - April 24 (Optional)
To further maximize your travel and me investment, the Center for Guardianship Certification has scheduled the National Certified Guardian exam Saturday, April 24. The exam is not part of the Colloquium and you must register separately with the CGC, which is an en rely different organization.

Who Will I Meet?

As many as 220 guardians, conservators and fiduciaries from across the country, as well as affiliated professionals, have a ended an NGA Colloquium. Past evaluations have praised the event as providing a “great opportunity to converse with a diverse group of people.”
